On October 27, the Government of Japan announced the final determination on anti-dumping duties on Nickel-Contained Stainless Cold-Rolled Steel Strip and Cold-Rolled Steel Sheet originating in the People's Republic of China (hereinafter "China") and the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (hereinafter "Taiwan"). This determination was made based on the government's finding that the concerned goods were imported at unfairly low prices, that material injury was caused to the domestic industry by such imports, and that it was necessary to protect the domestic industry.

Final anti-dumping duty rates; China: 27.7％～42.1％, Taiwan: 3.6％～20.1％
(Unchanged from the preliminary anti-dumping duty rates)

We understand that the information released today is the result of this investigation being conducted fairly and independently by the Government of Japan based on WTO rules.

The Japanese steel industry will continue to strengthen its monitoring efforts on unfair import practices, not limited to the products subject to the investigation, and will consult with the Government of Japan each time when it becomes necessary regarding further trade remedy measures.　

In addition, as domestic producers, we will endeavor to enable domestic users to procure steel products subject to this anti-dumping measure in a timely manner.
