Regarding the final determination for Anti-dumping Investigation for grain-oriented flat-rolled steel products in EU

On October 30, the European Commission announced in the Official Journal to implement anti-dumping measures for grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel imported from Japan.

During the anti-dumping investigation by the Commission, the Japanese steel industry stated that exports of grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel from Japan have caused no injury to the domestic industry in EU.

We believe that it is inappropriate and regrettable that the Commission has concluded that the domestic industry in EU has been injured by imports of grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel from Japan, and decided to enact the anti-dumping measures.

The Japanese steel industry will carefully study this decision and determine a proper course of action.
