Regarding the Final Determination for anti-dumping investigation for Diffusion-Annealed Nickel-Plated Flat-Rolled Steel Products in the United States

On May 2, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) determined as a result of an anti-dumping investigation that the domestic industry in the United States has been materially injured by imports of the Diffusion-Annealed Nickel-Plated Flat-Rolled Steel Products from Japan.

The Japanese steel industry argued during the investigation that imports of Diffusion-Annealed Nickel-Plated Flat-Rolled Steel Products from Japan have caused no injury to the domestic industry in the United States.

We believe that it is unjust and extremely regrettable that ITC has rejected our arguments, concluded that the domestic industry in the United States has been materially injured by Japanese imports, and decided to enact the anti-dumping measures.

The Japanese steel industry will carefully study this decision and, after discussing with Japanese government officials, determine an appropriate course of action.
